POSCAM

Privacy — your shop’s data

POSCAM is a till and management software for shops. Here is, plainly, what happens to your data.

1. Your data belongs to you

Your items, prices, sales, customers, debts and settings belong to your shop. They are never sold or shared with anyone.

2. Each shop is isolated

Every shop has its own separate space in our database, tied to its own web address. Another merchant can never see your data.

3. What the POSCAM team sees

To run the service, our administration screen only shows operating indicators: number of users and items, number of sales over 30 days, date of the last sale, your plan and the contact details given at sign-up. No amounts, no customers, no prices, no sale details.

4. Support access: only with your permission

If you need help, you can allow the POSCAM support to look at your shop for 24 hours (Settings → Company → Privacy & support access). You can withdraw it at any time. Every consultation is recorded in your Activity log, where you can see it.

5. The shared product database (optional)

When you save a product with a barcode, its barcode and name (never its price, stock or customers) help suggest a name to other merchants who scan the same product — and theirs help you. You can turn this off in Settings → Catalogue.

6. Technical access

Like any online software, the people who maintain the servers technically have access to the database. We commit to consulting a shop’s content only with its permission, or when the law requires it.

7. Backups and messages

Your data is backed up every night so it can be restored after an incident. The emails and WhatsApp messages sent from POSCAM (receipts, reminders, order tracking) go through specialised providers solely to be delivered.

8. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data or for your shop to be deleted at any time by writing to us.
